Comcast cable modem stop when downloading from torrents

By rdigumarthi , January 23, in Troubleshooting. I have comcast as my internet provider. I talked with comcast techs and they claim that they are not stopping torrenting. If go to say starbucks, and I can down load all torrents as I want. HAS any one faced similar problem? I have a pfSense router behind a Comcast modem. Suddenly one day in spring everything went crazy and their modem was back in default mode again.

Ever since, Comcast has been 'unable' to bridge it. Of course, this interferes with torrenting, etc. I started asking around to friends and other IT guys that I knew were bridging Click the Downloads option on the left of the window.

Reduce the default value of down to something more reasonable, such as Download PicoTorrent. Reduce the overall default of to a lower number. Download Transmission. After lot of elimination tests i found that disconnection was only happening when I was torrenting and particularly torrenting through transmission client on my Centos machine. When I do torrenting on my uTorrent client on Windows it never dropped and infact it worked noticeably faster than Transmission client.

The fix mentioned in this makes sense and that may resolves lot of such issues for people but I would like to point out here that the problem only started with my new ISP, with new NTU and new router — such disconnection never happened on my old slower ADSL line using the same setup.

Mez , Mar 26, They do worse then that Well comcast decided to try to get me for damage of property and assault but i won and you wonder how i won i recorded everything i did and what they did i had my video evidence that showed me downloading the torrent and using the torrent because apples site was down and even better i had on video them jacking into my network and the printout from my firewall and them trying to gain illegal entry into my network on video.
