I mean, you didn't call him out for doing the same thing, did you? You didn't respond to him the way you responded to me, did you? You can be sports AND racing, Doc. Notice how I acknowledge wrestling games as sports AND wrestling genres before it was 'fighting'?
Since when did you classify every game as ONE genre? Tf No wonder why you classifying wreslting as a fighting game makes no sense. Just like how fighting games are 2d, 3d, arena, etc. It's different sub genres, but they never derail away from what they already are, sports games. It's just different kinds of sports, like there are different kinds of fighting games. Or Tekken? Just because people 'fight' in wrestling games does not mean it is a fighting game period.
It is a sports and wreslting game before , and let me make this clear enough for you to understand, BEFORE it is fighting. I do not get what is so hard to understand about that. Why label it as something it's not? You don't see the classic arcade style WWF games and think Tekken or Virtua Fighter Two different motivations behind their game development.

But yeah, assuming it is sports, it's still an attempt at 2 people fighting, so that's what it is. Sports is the modifier. A "sports-based fighting game", if you will.
Yeah, exactly. Sub genres. Like you have Fighting»Anime and Fighting»Wrestling. Like, the UFC organizers in were literally influenced by videogames So it's fighting. Just as long as we agree. Itsmejesus 5 months ago They wanted to make an alternative wrestling game in addition to the wwe 2k series.
In typical WWE fashion they fired Yukes with nobody to replace them. Now Yukes is working with AEW. WWE would later make an alternative wrestling game anyway like a bunch of dumbasses. Yukes actually had the right idea. They felt things were getting stale. So they wanted to create a game to rival the WWE 2k series. Yukes is also a Japanese company.
