I mean someone to provide a link with a tested driver for the particular card which works properly. I have forced the "wrong" driver to install before for my graphics cards. For example, my laptop once had an m GS. It worked fine for me. That might be horrible advice, and we'll see what else someone writes on here. I would stick with what you've got if you got the Laptop2Go driver to load.

That's probably safer. Who knows, what I did could've set my fan speed wrong or something and overheated the card, or a whole host of things. Maybe I just got lucky. Honestly I could not tell a difference in the updated version and what I had from HP, so I don't think it helped anyway. I was having a "hitching" problem at the time, so not really related to your FPS problem. Your problem probably isn't graphically related.

It will scan my system and display a 'Click here to install available updates" listed and, after clicking, there is no further activity.

There never has been an updated video driver listed with any available updates so no big deal, I guess Searching HP's website for any drivers for this specific card also has been fruitless. NVIDIA has worked with some notebook manufacturers to provide notebook-specific driver updates, however, most notebook driver updates must come from the notebook manufacturer. The problem is, through the Driver Updates on Nvidia's site, I Cannot seem to find anything for this card.

I downloaded the correct drivers for nvidia geforce m GS but when you try to install, you recieve an error half way through saying that there is no compaitble device for any of the drivers. The problem is not the drivers. It should be there. Then go to device manager, right click on the device listed then update driver from there select "Install from a list or specific location. Next , Select "Dont search, i will choose the driver to install" Next , Select Display adapters then find your drivers in the nvidia folder on your c: drive and it will force an install.

You will get a message saying something about windows is unsure of the drivers, just continue the install. As long as you are sure that you have the correct device and drivers, there will be no problem. Hope this helps you.
