You will need to read the Help files to learn how to use it. From your description, I wasn't completely clear on exactly what type of restore this is, but from what I can tell, you are creating factory restore discs. This will restore the computer to exactly how it was when you got it, and, yes, that includes erasing all your data files and any programs you have installed.

It will reformat your hard drive and re-install windows and the software that came with your computer. Anything on your hard drive will be lost. You need to back up your stuff to an external hard drive or dvds or something like that. An external hard drive would be the easiest and fastest solution. If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem.

I use no proxys by the way. Can nod32 or Win Fw block the program's internet acces I added it to windows's firewall exeptions list. Does anyone have a solution to this? Last edited: Dec 11, I suspect that the developers are bringing up new servers and have update turned off at the moment.

Peter mentioned that AVG is adding more servers because of high demand and stated their goal was to have the new servers on line at the beginning of this week.
